I am enclosing a reprint of an article "The History and Present Status of Synthetic Diamond" by Nassau & Nassau that you may not have seen. The article includes a brief discussion of du Pont's shock wave process for diamond production. Sincerely yours, H. Spencer General Electric Co. 55 Hawthorne St., Room 1137 San Francisco, California 94105 Dear Earl: I realy appreciate the information that you periodically send* concerning happenings etc. in the good old General Electric Company. Ida-Rose and I returned home to Provo on the 27th of October from our annual trek East that lasts about one month. We visited daughter Virgina Wood (one cnild) and my brother Deltc-rt Hall in the Washington D.C. area and daughter Sher-lene Bartholomew (two children) in the New York City area. I lectured at universities in Indiana and Kentucky along the way and we also did genealogical research in Ohio, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. We did not get to Schenectady on this trip but hope to do so next year. Our sons Tracy Jr. (formally with Hewlett Packard,Palo Alto) and David (formally with Ingersol Rand, Prifieton, N.J.) have returned to the Provo area recently with the intention of going into business for themselves. Nancy Hall Mecham, our youngest, lives in Provo, Charlotte Hall Weight (one child) lives in Los Angeles, and Elizabeth Hall Neil in San Jose. Tracy, Jr. has seven kids, Elizabeth has three, and Nancy has one. David has three. I think that accounts for all of them. We send our love and best wishes to all of you. Sincerely, Tracy October 30, 1978
